Ian McGaughey provided these comments about his visit to Glacier National Park during the making the 2002 road trip documentary “Looking At America.” This still image is taken from the video.
“I had camped near Browning, Montana the night before, and awoke before sunrise to drive the 30 or so miles to the entrance of Glacier National Park. I arrived as the sun was coming up through a gentle rain, and began driving the Going-to-the-Sun Road. The scenery was mind-blowing. It’s difficult to do it justice, but I think I got a couple good shots. Glacier was easily one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.”
